Clarion Capital Partners, LLC Receives License from Small Business Administration

Clarion Capital Partners, LLC, a New York-based private equity firm focused on middle-market, growth-oriented businesses, received approval from the U.S. Small Business Administration to form and operate a Small Business Investment Company, to be called Trumpet SBIC Partners, L.P.

The SBIC Partnership, in conjunction with its parent fund, Trumpet Investors L.P., will seek investments across a range of industries and markets, and generally pursue individual investments ranging in size from approximately $15 to $50 million of equity. The SBA will be a preferred limited partner in the SBIC Partnership.

Established by the United States Congress in 1958 to stimulate long-term investment in American small businesses, the SBIC Program has evolved into a significant factor in financing smaller American businesses. Over the years, SBICs have provided funding to more than 90,000 businesses, including well-known companies such as Apple Computer, Federal Express, Cray Computers, Callaway Golf and Outback Steakhouse.

Clarion Capital Partners, LLC, is a New-York based private investment firm. The firm invests in the consumer products, business services, specialty retail, specialty financial services and niche media/entertainment industries. Previous and current investments by the professionals of Clarion include the Imax Corporation, All-Clad Holdings, Inc., Snapple Beverage Company, Encore Capital Group, Cascade Entertainment Group, U.S. Nursing Corporation, and The Oceanaire, Inc.
